CABIN AIR QUALITY SENSING FOR IMPROVED SAFETY AND HEALTH

Car owners are becoming more aware of the air quality inside the car. Did you know that when there is 3000ppm CO2 in a car, bus or conference room every 18th breath you take was already “used”? Sensing and controlling the CO2 levels in the cabin keeps the air healthy, is a safety measure against drowsy drivers and helps to detect children left behind.

ACETONITRILE (ACN) ELECTROLYTE – SUPER HIGH IONIC CONDUCTIVITY ELECTROLYTE FOR LITHIUM ION BATTERY

TOWARDS A MORE SUSTAINABLE BATTERY PRODUCTION - LIB ELECTROLYTE WITH CO2 AS RAW MATERIAL

Dr. Yuto Iizuka

Manager,
R&D Electrolyte
ASAHI KASEI EUROPE

ACETONITRILE (ACN) ELECTROLYTE – SUPER HIGH IONIC CONDUCTIVITY ELECTROLYTE FOR LITHIUM ION BATTERY

Acetonitrile (AcN) – containing electrolyte enhances low temperature performance and high power performance due to higher lithium ion conductivity. This electrolyte not only increases the power performance, but also reduces the total cost of battery production by enabling the usage of thicker electrodes.

TOWARDS A MORE SUSTAINABLE BATTERY PRODUCTION - LIB ELECTROLYTE WITH CO2 AS RAW MATERIAL

Reducing the CO2 footprint in battery manufacturing is an urgent topic. Asahi Kasei commercialized a process utilizing CO2 for the production of highly purified ethylene carbonate (p-EC) and highly purified dimethyl carbonate (p-DMC) to be used as component for LIB electrolytes.
